Mr Woofmantic Games & Jazz is a celebration of multimedia art and culture, in two parts: the games exhibition at Kildevælds Kulturcenter (free) and the concerts programme in the evening at Kildevældskirken.

Games exhibition at Kildevælds Kulturcenter - come and play alternative video games and talk to their creators! There will be art games, multiplayer games, alternative controllers and many inspiring creations and rarities, fun for all ages!

19:00 Music of The Night Flemming Agerskov - Trumpet 🎺 Kaspar Vadsholt - Upright Bass Mads Vadsholt - Synthesizers and Samplers 🎹 Music of the night is an experimental trio consisting of two veteran jazz musicians and a younger experimental sound artist. Together they shape a musical language with elements of traditional jazz, free improvisation, textural ambiences and musical drones. Though newly formed as a group, the members share a long history of collaboration in different constellations. Mads Vadsholt and Kaspar Vadsholt performed together at Music.Games—a celebration of game music at VEGA in spring 2025—while trumpeter Mads la Cour and Kaspar Vadsholt have been long-standing collaborators in DR’s Big Band.

20:00 Mr Woofmantic ft L'Invitée Mr Woofmantic - Piano 🐶 Horațiu Romantic - Piano 🐾 Simone de Bovward - Double Bass Marina Kalhart - Double Bass 🥎 Nomi - Keys ⌨️ Mr Woofmantic plays original piano-vocal compositions which are theatrical and interactive, with a humorous touch. The concert features a live projection from the videogames world where Mr Woofmantic lives, and the live human band that spreads their music to our human world. Mr Woofmantic plays through Horațiu Roman as his human avatar, and in tonight's concert, he will be joined by Simone de Bovwarf on double bass (her human avatar is Marina Kalhart) and Nomi the human on keys.

A piano-playing, song-writing, singing dog

The songs of Mr Woofmantic are acoustic piano-vocal compositions inspired by his life as a dog. He is a self-taught musician and his influences range from KK Slider to Randy Newman, from Rowlf the Dog to Tom Waits and other dog and human musicians. The duo with Simone de Bovwarf has played together since 2025 in small concerts around Copenhagen and online livestreams. The Mr Woofmantic project started in March 2024 as a cross-media collaboration between Horatiu Roman and Nomi. Its first appearance occurred within the video games project, Dog Castle, a part of Zium Exposition, a collaborative international online collaboration of artists in different media. Mr Woofmantic played a solo concert there, and the game can be played for free at theziumsociety.itch.io/the-zium-exposition while the concert has been released as a live album on Mr Woofmantic’s Bandcamp at mrwoofmantic.bandcamp.com In 2025, the first European tour of Mr Woofmantic in the human world happened as the Awoorld Tour traveling from Berlin, with a performance opening A MAZE. / Berlin, an arthouse video games festival, to Copenhagen with a performance at Metronomen. About us & Contact

The co-producers of Mr Woofmantic are Horatiu Roman, based in Copenhagen, on the musical performance and programming side, and Til Nomi, based in Berlin, on the graphics side.

Horațiu Roman (@horatiuromantic) is a musician and game developer from Cluj-Napoca, Romania, based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a multi-instrumentalist, and plays jazz, singer-songwriter folk and experimental music. He writes original music and has released several albums since 2022 on Bandcamp, YouTube and streaming platforms. His songwriting tells stories that blend the mundane and the poetic, with humor, intelligence, and a healthy dose of ignorance. He has been part of the local game development scene since ~2012, and now runs Complicated Nonsense, a small game and interactive media studio. He is part of music and games communities, organizes events and works to get people together and bring them joy and thoughtfulness. Nomi or Til Nomi (thenomi.com, instagram, bsky) is an artist based in Berlin, founded and runs an international community for art/experimental games called Gæmz. Growing up in a musical environment and having studied media arts, Nomi has many feelings towards music, films, and media things and spends a lot of time doing research on music in their free time. Nomi creates visual art (illustrations and videos in 2D and 3D) for games, game adjacent work, events, music, books, etc. and sometimes thinks about becoming a comedy gold while being too irrelevant and too inexperienced for that.
